This 240gsm (7.1oz) carbon fiber fabric has a closer weave pitch (6 picks per centimeter) than a typical 200gsm (5.9oz) 2/2 twill and is the fabric commonly used in the manufacture of pre-preg carbon fiber. If you are looking for a fabric that is an exact visual match for the carbon used in pre-preg parts then this may well be it.

Typical Uses

This 240gsm (7.1oz) carbon fiber cloth should be used when a perfect visual match to pre-preg carbon fiber parts produced using a 240gsm (7.1oz) surface ply is required.

This fabric is suitable for use in wet-lay, vacuum bagging and resin infusion manufacture as well as in the manufacture of pre-preg carbon fiber as a raw material.
